What was the highlight of Ocean Blue Beach Hotel

Reduce the price or upgrade the facilities

Breakfast was good, especially traditional Burmese food.

Too expensive for the facilities provided by the hotel. Bathrooms are very dirty and not maintained properly. No Internet/WIFI in the room and it's available only at the lobby(the most inconvenient thing). No power from 6 am to 6 pm and NO air-con. No light in the day time and it's completely dark in the bath room. We booked ocean view room but it's too far away to see the ocean and we had to upgrade to bungalow by paying more. At the space between the ocean view room and the shore, hotel held a party for group of 400 people from a company till midnight and the music was too loud and rooms were not soundproof. Bungalows only have 24 hour power and air con. For Bungalows we have to pay 150 $ per day which is not worth at all. Bungalow bathroom doors are too heavy and too tight to close.

Dirty beach. Dozen of staff busy in removing leaves from the garden, but the beach was full with plastic, food left overs, bottles nobody cared to collect Room was dirty and we asked the room service soon after arrival Overpriced if compared to other better facilities in Burma

Le bâtiment central avec la salle pour les repas face à la piscine. La proximité de la plage.

Manque de meubles dans la chambre, ni chaises ni table.Juste un placard et une télé alors que la chambre est spacieuse. Dommage ! Faire le ménage en profondeur serait appréciable. Le petit déjeuner n'est pas terrible. Le village est assez loin à pied. Manque de matelas pour le mobilier extérieur.

Swimming Pool.

Stuff are need more training. When we were in there, they made some renovation, it made too noisy. They opened a music too loud in the hotel. We can't take a rest.

The staffs are very friendly.

The staffs are very friendly.They are willing to help you whenever you ask a favor.The staffs are the best part of this hotel.

The first thing I was very upset was the view.The sea view room isn't just in front of the sea.The view was partially blocked by the garden.But the upper sea view rooms just do fine.I regret i didn't request the upper sea view room.FYI It is the 2-storey building which you can enjoy the view,and of the same price. I see a lot of flys in my room. Wifi is only available at the lobby and the conncetion is bad. The door lock will need a lot of maintanence.

I like hotel location & view .

In dinning room and guest room so many flies . Room is not sound proof and very poor room maintenance, toilet can flush during my stay . Room bed light not work . All hotel staffs need to learn how to smile to guest. A lot of mosquitoes at night. They don’t accept DBS Visa card (Sing $) once we are checked out. Currency exchange rate is too high when we are check out.

Beach was nice.

Electricity was limited. We didn't have electricity for many hours. Wi-fi was so weak. So basically we couldn't use it in our room. Also extra charge was included for new year event (which I didn't know), but quality of food didn't worth that price.

Need better hotel management

The staff are trying their best to follow our demand, the bungalow has 24 hour electricity and great sea view

The staff are not well trained, the property are dirty, the grass are not well maintained, some part are damaged, the food are standard, the room acoustic is not good enough so you can hear people shouting. At first we booked the deluxe room in first floor but they put us in second floor, because of the noise we decided to move to bungalow. The price for foreigner is almost 50% higher than normal rate.

The hotel was no where near to the expectations.

Breakfast was ok.

The Room is very dirty and same room was not even provided which was shown in photos. No electric kettle available for hot water. Half of the curtains are on the floor.

The size and cleanliness of the room, hotel position on the beach front, lovely food and friendly staff, who really tried hard to help with anything we needed.

The cleanliness of all common areas as well as the beach was poor. Cleaning staff simply don´t see the dirt, cigarette tips etc. Although the pool rules are written on the wall, no one cares when people bath in their normal clothes as this is common in asian countries. We found it a bit off-putting.

Great staff and proximity to beach!

The staff were always friendly and attentive - there was nothing they wouldn’t do or try to do when we weren’t able to communicate well due to language barrier (we didn’t speak Burmese and some staff didn’t speak much English) but despite this they always tried their hardest to meet our needs - cannot flaw the staff! the proximity to the beach was great to - less then a 2 minutes walk and we were far from the beach. About an hours walk to town from this location which is fine if you don’t mind walking but definitely go along the beach not the road - however plenty of motorbike taxis to get you what you need!

We booked a double bed and got two singles. It was a little difficult to communicate this to staff. There were periods when electricity was not available which made it a little difficult as you couldn’t see in the bathroom to apply makeup or shower. This was communicated on the web site but wasn’t pleasant when hot. We of course just went swimming! Unfortunately too there was construction at the venue which we weren’t aware of that made our wake up calls definite! Finally some of the food wasn’t great - nor the drinks! But other food items and drink items were outstanding! But if a mixed bag!
